The Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) is one of the most widely used healthcare quality data sets in the country. HEDIS reporting is a requirement for NCQA Health Plan Accreditation, CMS Medicare Advantage, Medicare Stars, Exchange, Medicaid, and many states. HEDIS measure results are used within the enterprise and externally to drive quality initiatives that improve the health of Aetna's members.This position is on the HEDIS Application Support Team responsible for providing internal business stakeholders applications/tools that support HEDIS data collection and reporting. In this role you will apply your project management skills working with business teams and application programming teams to deliver IT projects in support of internal HEDIS reporting for high profile stakeholders such as HEDIS executive leadership and Medicare Stars. You will apply CVS Heart-at-Work behaviors to work successfully in a team-based environment where team members work together and support each other to achieve greater excellence.The IT project manager will lead the work and deliverables of multiple HEDIS technical projects and processes, varying in complexity and impacting HEDIS stakeholders, workflows, systems, functions and applications/tools. These activities enable Aetna to improve health care quality products, services, and processes by timely and successful reporting of required HEDIS data and deliverables. This role will require a hybrid skillset of technical project management, business analysis, process/data flow design and product management.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead/support the complete HEDIS informatics lifecycle by maintaining project plans/schedules and responsible/accountable/informed matrices; Track deliverables are met from request to go-live deployment and thereafter with tracking support tasks for resolution
- Facilitate productive meetings with the goal of eliciting/documenting user technical requirements; Lead user community focus groups for enhancements and lessons learned
- Become a product owner/SME for certain modules within an application product; Maintain and groom a backlog of development/enhancement requests, then queue for application development team; Coordinate with other product owners/SME's on team for prioritization and use of shared resources
- Document and maintain data flow diagrams/SOP (standard operating procedures) for processing HEDIS data for multiple purposes
- Communicate to a broad user community and explain complex HEDIS concepts to stakeholders internal and external to the HEDIS team
- Support the HEDIS audit and track from request to resolution various ad-hoc HEDIS data reporting requests
- Participate in internal project management development program by attending regular project management huddle meetings, networking and collaboration opportunities and self-directed learning and training
3+ years of technical project management experience on data/IT-focused projects
3+ years experience working with large, complex datasets
Proven track record managing projects, meeting project deliverables and due dates
Proven communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience collaborating across areas to gain census/drive towards a common goalPreferred Qualifications
PMP (Project Management Professional) Certified
HEDIS project experience
QuickBase experience
Quality Management experienceEducation

The typical pay range for this role is:$54,300.00 - $145,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
