Position Summary
As the Instructional Designer in PBM Operations Client Services, you'll be dedicated to creating impactful learning experiences tailored to the needs of colleagues and leaders, ensuring customer success. You'll be a proactive collaborator, and draw from your strong foundation in adult learning theories and learning tools. You will work closely with subject matter experts and business leaders, ensuring training solutions reflect current and future operational goals. Your consultative approach aids in translating intricate business concepts into accessible and effective learning materials, enhancing colleague proficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities include:
- Engage with subject matter experts and leaders to identify training and performance gaps. Analyze learning needs and collaborate to define learning objectives.
- Design and develop effective learning experiences, including eLearning, instructor-led training, and blending learning solutions for both technical/systems training and essentials skills training, ensuring that content is accessible, engaging, relevant, and effective.
- Partner with subject matter experts to gather content, ensure accuracy, and enhance the relevancy of the instructional materials.
- Implement assessment and evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness of learning solutions. Analyze feedback and make necessary improvements to training materials.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality of content.
- Maintain open communication with stakeholders, updating them on project progress and addressing concerns.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices in instructional design.
- Review peers' designs and provide constructive feedback; seek feedback on designs to ensure continuous improvement.
- Maintain and organize instructional materials, ensure they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
Knowledge of:
- Adult learning theories and principles.
- Instructional design models, methodologies, and modes of accessibility.
- Basic project management and principles
- Common eLearning tools and design software (e.g. Articulate Storyline and Rise, Adobe Captivate)
- Knowledge of working with online meeting and collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Office Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc.
- Creating engaging learning materials
- Utilizing multimedia and graphics to enhance learning experiences.
- Strong communication skills with great attention to detail and ability to provide feedback
- Excellent/profession verbal and written communication skills
- Analyze learning needs and create aligned solutions
- Manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
- Adapt to feedback and adjust designs accordingly
- Present in front of small or large groups of varying levels, ages, and skillsets
- Learn fast on a job and willingness to learn complex, technical systems
- Work effectively in a team environment and cross functionality across teams
- At least 5 years of instructional design experience
- At least 3 years of e-learning development experience
Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of experience with the Articulate e-learning authoring tool
- Experience managing training projects
- Advanced eLearning tools and technologies
- Pharmacy, PBM, and/or healthcare industry
- Various learning management systems (e.g. Saba) and learning content management systems (e.g. Inkling)
- Advanced graphic design and multimedia integration
- Scripting for interactive learning content
- Building complex branching scenarios, simulations, or gamified learning experiences
- Design for diverse and geographically dispersed audiences
- Translate complex concepts into simple, engaging learning materials
- Continuously update skills based on industry trends
- A Bachelor's degree or at least 4 years of equivalent experience in an applicable field (education, instructional design, curriculum design, training, talent development, human resources)
The typical pay range for this role is:
$60,300.00 - $139,200.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
