Position Summary
As a Registered Dietitian Health Coach, you will play a key role in helping members achieve and maintain optimal nutritional health. You'll assess member needs, develop personalized care plans, and provide evidence-based coaching to support sustainable lifestyle changes. This role requires strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a passion for helping others thrive.
Key Responsibilities
🩺 Assessment & Planning
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments using clinical tools and data
- Evaluate health literacy, technology access, and readiness for change
- Develop individualized care plans based on health status, risks, and goals
- Use motivational interviewing and active listening to drive behavior change
- Provide nutritional guidance and lifestyle coaching
- Empower members to make informed decisions and engage with their providers
- Track progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Document all interactions in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care
- Must reside within commutable distance (≤45 minutes) of High Point, NC
- Willingness to represent A1A onsite for plan sponsor events and education
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- State licensure as required (CVS Health supports multi-state licensure)
- 5+ years of experience in:
- Medical nutrition therapy
- Weight management
- Disease management
- Health behavior change
- 5+ years of coaching experience in a multidisciplinary setting
- Strong computer skills (MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience with motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and other coaching techniques
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)
- Experience in managed care organizations
- Proven success in facilitating positive behavioral change
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field (required)

The typical pay range for this role is:$43,888.00 - $91,052.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
