- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure microservices using .NET/C#..
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver new features and enhancements.
- Build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
- Develop and integrate with various messaging systems like Kafka, NServiceBus, or RabbitMQ.
- Work extensively with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) for deploying and managing applications.
- Design and optimize database schemas and queries for SQL Server, Postgres, and/or Snowflake.
- Occasionally develop and enhance UI components; experience with React is a plus.
- Implement and utilize Elasticsearch for logging, monitoring, and search functionalities.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and practices.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack development.
- Strong proficiency in backend development with .NET/C# OR Java.
- Solid experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, Kubernetes, Docker.
- Proven experience with messaging queues such as Kafka, NServiceBus, or RabbitMQ.
- Proficiency with relational databases like SQL Server or Postgres, and data warehousing solutions like Snowflake.
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch or similar search and analytics engines.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Ability to travel 10-20% as needed.
- Experience with gRPC for inter-service communication.
- Familiarity with actor-based concurrency frameworks like Akka.net.
- Experience in the healthcare industry and familiarity with standards like HL7 FHIR or HIPAA.
- Knowledge of AI tools such as Cursor, Github Copilot.

The typical pay range for this role is:$72,100.00 - $144,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
