It will be imperative for the leader to understand market needs, the competitive landscape, and how to successfully drive product strategy and development across a matrixed organization.This leader will drive impact at scale, as every single Group Commercial member has access to one or more offerings within our Population Health portfolio, such as care management, lifestyle and condition coaching, wellness and rewards, and condition-specific health management solutions. The successful candidate is a compelling business and team leader with a deep understanding of the marketplace including payers, advocacy programs, and 3rd party points solutions, with a demonstrated track record of designing innovative products, delivering them to market, and ensuring product performance.You'll make an impact by:

- Helping team members at all levels build and develop skills needed to advance.
- Understanding and tracking key performance indicators including sales, member engagement, satisfaction, medical cost savings, and ROI.
- Facilitating structured problem solving to identify root cause of issues and develop recommendations to resolve.
- Prioritizing competing objectives, meet deadlines, and effectively communicate status.
- Navigating a large, matrixed organization and team effectively.
- Leveraging in-depth knowledge and understanding of products across functions and within market segments to direct the development and implementation of new product initiatives and enhancements.
- Overseeing active management of existing products to ensure ongoing market relevance.
- Seeking and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of internal and external environmental influences and competitive pressures to develop and support commercial products.
- Participating in and/or conduct focus group sessions, broker briefings or one-on-one meetings with consultants, brokers, and/or employer groups to obtain voice of customer feedback and support achievement of sales and retention goals.
- Engaging in sales meetings to discuss customer and member value propositions for products in portfolio.
- Combining data-driven insights with market and segment research to uncover unmet customer needs and align existing solutions and/or design new solutions.
- Overseeing the development of sales materials that clearly communicate a compelling value proposition for population health products.
- Validating business case development for new and enhanced products.
- Ensuring client level product performance is incorporated appropriately into reporting to demonstrate value.
The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position offers broad exposure to all aspects of the company's business, as well as significant interaction with all the business leaders. The candidate will be expected to have the following key attributes:
- 10+ years of population health and/or employee benefits industry experience.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in product, corporate strategy, and/or consulting.
- Product innovation, development, and management experience.
- Strategic thinker with ability to identify and capitalize on unmet needs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to "tell the population health story".
- Strong financial acumen to develop business cases, understand financial drivers of purchasing decisions, and target product price points relative to competition and customer expectations.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Managing teams of teams and/or managing organizations with 5+ individuals. Experience leading and developing people, preferably leading managers. Proven team leadership experience - leadership skills to build high-performing teams, manage and develop talent, influence, and impact a broad set of stakeholders, engage, and inspire others, and lead by example.
- Experience building and delivering executive-level presentations in a limited time frame.
- Ability to developed structured problem-solving skills to identify root cause of issues and develop recommendations for resolution.
- Experience prioritizing competing objectives, meeting deadlines, and effectively communicating updates.
- Ability to deal effectively with multiple internal and external clients.
- Ability to effectively interact with a diverse workforce and cross functional groups.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:$131,500.00 - $303,195.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
