These roles support a variety of warehouse operations including loading, equipment operation, inventory control, and facility maintenance. - Uses forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to safely move and position the items onto the vehicle.
- Inspects for damages, defects, or any other issues that could impact the quality of the products and reports any quality concerns to supervisors or appropriate personnel to ensure that only high-quality goods are loaded for delivery.
- Arranges load requirements to maximize trailer use and minimize imbalance, unnecessary movement, and damage.
- Conducts preliminary safety checks of equipment, checks orders, and verifies trailer size and number.
- Assists in maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Contributes to maintaining accurate inventory records and helps to track stock levels, monitor product availability, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Ensures that the correct products, quantities, and specifications match the order requirements which involves checking labels, SKU numbers, and other identifying information to avoid any discrepancies.
- Determines that the weight distribution on the truck is balanced to maintain stability and prevent accidents during transportation.
- Coordinates with warehouse personnel, drivers, or other loaders to ensure smooth loading operations.
- Maintains equipment/warehouse operations under general supervision and communicates deviations from expected outcomes to internal teams.
- Collects feedback from employees across the company to ensure the technical support function is responsive to business needs.
- Documents warehouse maintenance activities to ensure replenishment of inventories.
- Defines the operational strategy to the warehouse department and instructs equipment operators on how to maneuver heavy equipment into loading or unloading position.
- Organizes warehouse facilities and utilizes power equipment to move and stack pallets and freight around the warehouse.
- Communicates with equipment operators, contractors, and inspectors on obstacles or challenges within the day-to-day operations.
- Monitors operator associates, delegates tasks, and revises schedules depending on daily and/or weekly plans.
- Performs preventative maintenance procedures on hydraulic components and vehicle or stationary equipment to ensure maximum reliability.
- Determines the scope of maintenance work required for heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers.

The typical pay range for this role is:$17.00 - $31.30This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
