We are seeking a candidate with a keen sense of natural curiosity who will play a crucial role in enhancing clinical care delivery and driving innovation through the application of machine learning and data science. In this position, you will be responsible for leveraging advanced analytics to develop products that significantly improve clinical care delivery.

Our team applies data science methodologies to interdisciplinary business problems supporting Aetna Care Management business. As a data scientist, you will work on an ambitious goal of leveraging the most advanced data science technologies to build and enhance products aimed at improving the health of our members, while simultaneously increasing care delivery productivity. To succeed in this role, you must be able to:
  • Write SQL code and leverage exploratory data analysis techniques to develop insights from clinical operations data.
  • Analyze vast amounts of data to synthesize strategies and tactics to solve complex problems
  • Work closely with team of data scientists, data engineers, and product designers to deliver products and analyses
Required Qualifications
  • 1+ year(s) of hands-on experience in data analysis, machine learning, and deep learning frameworks.
  • Strong proficiency with Python and SQL
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and concepts
Preferred Qualifications :
  • Prior experience using and managing projects leveraging Cloud technologies (e.g. GCP, Azure, AWS, Databricks)
  • Experience with Generative AI, LLM, and NLP
  • Experience with health care, clinical, or payor data is a plus
  • Proven attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Master's degree preferred
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,915.00 - $175,100.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
