The Community Development Member Liaison is responsible for promotion of Aetna brand recognition & identification to increase Aetna Better Health of Texas ( ABHTX ) membership growth and retention. - Conduct outreach in all services to include community events, member activities, site visits, and member outreach calls as needed.
- Market value ads, member renewal of benefits, health education, and community resources during outreach activities.
- Serve as liaison between ABHTX members and the health plan to resolve all member requests for assistance, as well as provide education on member benefits, value added services, health education, SDOH ( Social Determinants of Health ) community resources, renewal of member benefits, claims, complaints & appeals, and assistance with provider related requests.
- Conduct member outreach in all service areas to include member phone calls and member requests for assistance and member events.
- Conduct proper documentation of outreach activities in Salesforce.
- Build outreach calendar 90-days out to meet monthly production metrics.
- Ensure continuous development of collaborative relationships with local community-based organizations.
- Meet all departmental standards for quality and compliance of outreach activities.
- Maintain compliance with all training initiatives to include market training, onboarding, compliance, Texas Health Steps, CHW ( Community Health Worker ) Health Education topics and annual CVS training modules.
- Provide support to all social media outreach events/activities.
- Provide support to all ABHTX/CVS Health Outreach Vehicle events/activities.
- Travel 50-60% of time.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of experience in community outreach, particularly within the HMO (Health Maintenance Organization), health care, and/or insurance industries.
- Must reside in San Antonio, Texas.
- Ability to travel approximately 50-60% of the time within the San Antonio, TX area.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or a closely related field.
- CHW ( Community Health Worker ) Certification.
- 5-7 years of experience in community outreach, particularly within the HMO ( Health Maintenance Organization ), health care, and/or insurance industries.
- High school diploma or GED.

The typical pay range for this role is:$21.10 - $40.90This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
