The Clinical Pharmacist provides comprehensive healthcare management through clinical and medication reviews to support safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care. This role involves analyzing medical records, assessing medication appropriateness, and researching disease states to guide therapeutic discussions. Through critical review and clinical insight, the pharmacist ensures alignment with treatment guidelines, regulatory requirements, and best practices. The role supports population health initiatives and may focus on specific areas such as opioid stewardship, chronic disease management, or high-risk medication use. This role focuses on reviewing patient medical records and medication histories to support safe, effective, and guideline-based therapy in high risk and complex cases of opioid misuse and abuse. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.Candidate must be able and willing to work during the hours of 8am-5pm ET, with flexibility to adjust working hours as needed meet business needs.Required Qualifications

Bachelors of Pharmacy or Pharm D from an ACPE-accredited college or university
Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice
Minimum of 3 years of clinical pharmacy experience in managed care setting
Demonstrated ability to review and interpret medical records, medication histories, and lab data
Demonstrated expertise in opioid and pain management stewardship
Demonstrated understanding of and experience with MWA/FWA
Sound clinical judgment and independent thinking
Strong ability to influence clinical decision-making through persuasive communication and expert guidance in therapeutic optimization
Preferred Qualifications
Board certification in relevant specialty of chronic pain management and/or addiction management
Demonstrated experience in chronic disease management or high-risk medication monitoring
Familiarity with state PDMPs and regulatory requirements
Certification or training in motivational interviewing
Experience contributing to provider educationEducation

The typical pay range for this role is:$106,200.00 - $225,000.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
