CVS Health is seeking an experienced indirect tax professional, with a proven ability to navigate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a large and complex organization and join efforts in driving change.As an Indirect Tax Analyst, you will report to the Manager, Indirect Tax. Your primary responsibilities include working with internal and external partners to ensure all indirect tax compliance, audit, and accounting obligations are completed. - Partner with a team of tax professionals to consistently deliver all indirect tax obligations in a timely manner. Prepare, review, and analyze sales, use, and property tax compliance data, continuously improve processes, and integrate automation to improve the end-to-end compliance process and reliability of results.
- Work directly with 3rd party consultants and internal parties to resolve indirect tax related issues, including but not limited to notices and business license matters.
- Assist with sales and use tax audits; obtain and provide requested documentation, review audit workpapers, document results, and recommend solutions to reduce future audit exposure.
- Prepare month end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for indirect tax accounts.
- Research, analyze, and communicate the impact of sales and use tax law developments.
- Monitor and evaluate business activities for filing responsibilities and nexus exposure to mitigate indirect tax deficiencies.
- Review, research, understand, and determine the taxability of the goods and services being sold and purchased in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure efficient operation of indirect tax processes through consistent communication with the tax technology team and participating in automation integration.
- Assist with special projects and perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.
- Minimum 1-3 years of recent professional experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, results-oriented tax or other finance department.
- Experience with process automation, improvements, and standardization, ensuring enhanced controls, and delivering timely, high-quality results.
- Analytical skills with specific subject matter expertise and tax research skills, including an understanding of US retail and healthcare sales taxability concepts.
- Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and tactfully, both verbally and in writing, successfully translating always-complex tax rules for business partners and customers.
- Ability to work productively with a high degree of independence and with accuracy and high attention to detail, while knowing when to seek guidance or assistance.
- Minimum 1 year of indirect tax compliance experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with SAP.
- Ability and initiative to learn new systems required to perform job responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.

The typical pay range for this role is:$43,888.00 - $93,574.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
