This is a key strategic role responsible for supporting performance and profitability on the Aetna pharmacy team by driving high-performance pharmacy management across all Aetna lines of businesses. This position will collaborate with the strategy & operations and cross-functional teams to identify data-driven insights for day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and addressing specific business performance issues. This position will also manage the strategic relationship between Aetna and Caremark, ensuring contract execution, identify opportunities to enhance data modeling techniques, optimizes data collation and interpretation, and ensures accurate and timely reporting to support decision-making throughout the organization.
Responsibilities include:
- Expand and maintain KPI metrics dashboards that provide senior leadership standardized, meaningful, and transparent reporting into performance of the pharmacy business. Exhibit innovative use of resources
- Gain deep understanding of KPIs and how strategic initiatives may impact performance
- Create succinct executive-level presentations that drive organizational awareness and engagement
- Leverage various internal and external data sources to build succinct management process to identify drivers and areas of opportunities underlying performance metrics
- Apply project management/organizational skills to execute contracting changes or correction plans and communicate succinctly to cross-functional workgroups
- Develop strategic relationships with all Aetna LOBs to create transparency and improve organizational knowledge of KPI performance
- Develop creative technical solutions to incorporate efficiencies into daily work

- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in finance or other data-driven roles within a healthcare environment.
- Experience in SAS, SQL, GCP (must have ability to write code to manipulate data).
- Ability to think creatively and use multiple data sources to assess and develop business strategies.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to collaborate with experts from other teams to better understand issues/drivers and how/why the impact may differ by line of business.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel).
- Experience with large and detailed data sets.
- Experience in pharmacy-related work.
- Business knowledge of different Aetna segments and how unique components within each line of business impact P&L performance.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or a combination of work experience and education.
The typical pay range for this role is:$67,900.00 - $199,144.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
