Position Summary :

As the Accounting Clerk, you will complete payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. You will Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances, and pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling, and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos.
• Issues stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Maintains historical records by microfilming and filing documents.
• Reports sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Completes order purchases for department supplies needs thru Ariba, and or other purchasing applications.

This role is 1st shift, 8:00am-4:00pmEST, Monday through Friday with some flexibility if needed

Required Qualifications :

• Minimum 1 year experience of basic principles of finances, accounting, and bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word

• Must be bi-lingual in both English and Spanish. (read, write & comprehend).
• Data entry experience

Preferred Qualifications :

• Superb data analysis skills, and detail oriented.
• Ability to complete assignments within stablish timeline.
• Ability to read, write and count accurately. General math skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work within a team atmosphere.
• Ability to communicate effectively with outside vendors and all level of management. Vendor relationships.
• Ability to analyze perfectively and consistently.

Education :

High School diploma or GED.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$18.50 - $31.72

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
