Field Service Electrician - Power Generation

Laverton - $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS!

We are looking for a talented Field Service Electrician to join our Power Generation Team in Laverton . This role will see you as part of a team of field-based technicians specialising in repairing and maintaining high horsepower, prime and standby generators.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Be first on the field for customers for breakdowns, repairs, and service works
  • Working on generator sets and engine control panels, scheduled and unscheduled service works
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics on engines/generators up to 3350KVA
  • Modifying wiring looms/diagrams
  • Commissioning of new generators/systems, transfer switches and master controllers
  • Working closely with the Mechanical Service team
  • Completing all work with a high focus on safety
  • Participate in an After Hours on call roster
To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Be a trade qualified electrician
  • Hold a current Electrical License and/or Electrical contractor's license
  • Previous industrial experience in an industrial factory as a senior or sole electrician
  • An in depth understanding of control systems (including PLC and relay logic)
  • The ability to interpret electrical schematics
  • Strong PC skills
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
  • A current, valid driver's license
  • Previous experience in Power Generation products highly regarded but not essential
Compensation and Benefits
  • Monday to Friday, weekend work and after hours on call roster
