DESCRIPTION
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Improve Data Accuracy and Integrity
By auditing master data and documentation, you'll help ensure the reliability of supply chain systems, which is critical for smooth operations across global sites.
Optimize Inventory Management
Your work on economic order quantity and safety stock analysis will directly support cost-effective inventory decisions and reduce excess or shortages.
Enhance Forecasting Capabilities
Creating dashboards and reports on customer forecast accuracy will help the team make better demand planning decisions and improve service levels.
Build Scalable Data Tools
Developing databases in Microsoft Access and Excel will provide the team with efficient tools for managing and analyzing supply chain data.
Enable Global Collaboration
Gathering data from sites across North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia will support global alignment and visibility in supply chain operations.
Support Strategic Decision-Making
Designing queries and performing analytics will uncover trends and insights that inform planning, procurement, and logistics strategies.
Drive Process Improvement
Creating training documentation and contributing to process audits will help standardize best practices and improve team efficiency.
Deliver a High-Impact Project
Your semester-long project will allow you to take ownership of a meaningful initiative, applying your academic knowledge to solve a real-world supply chain challenge.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Strong Microsoft Office Skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel and Access is essential for building databases, running queries, and analyzing supply chain data efficiently.
Foundational Knowledge in Supply Chain Concepts
Understanding key principles like economic order quantity, safety stock, and forecast accuracy will help you contribute meaningfully to project work.
Analytical Thinking & Attention to Detail
You'll need to interpret complex data sets, audit master data, and spot trends or inconsistencies that impact supply chain performance.
Effective Communication Skills
Collaborating with global teams and creating training documentation requires clear written and verbal communication across cultures and time zones.
Project Ownership & Initiative
Your semester-long project will be a chance to take initiative, apply classroom learning, and deliver a solution that adds value to the team.
Adaptability in a Fast-Paced Environment
Balancing multiple priorities while learning on the job means staying organized, flexible, and open to feedback.
Teamwork & Independence
You'll need to work well both independently and collaboratively with planners, analysts, and international site contacts.
Curiosity & Willingness to Learn

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications and Competencies
- Must be a full-time college student
- Ideal candidate working toward an undergraduate degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Operations Management or Business Administration
- Co-op experience must be part of the student curriculum
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools preferred
- Ability to learn on the job in a dynamic environment while balancing multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and within teams as needed
Additional Requirements
- Completion of Intro to Information Systems or equivalent class (e.g. IS2080)
- Available Monday-Friday from 8:00-4:30
- Ability to be on-site full-time
- Transportation available to and from the office
