DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage category strategies for precision machining aligned with Total Value Performance (TVP).
- Lead sourcing and procurement efforts to reduce cost, minimize supply chain risk, and foster supplier innovation.
- Collaborate with Pre-M0 product/technology development teams to ensure procurement strategy supports early-stage development needs.
- Build and manage a competitive, innovative supply base; act as the primary point of contact for supplier issue resolution.
- Negotiate supplier contracts independently or as part of a team; oversee complex supplier selection processes.
- Monitor supplier performance using key performance indicators, scorecards, and SRM processes.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional category, commodity, or project teams at business unit or corporate levels.
- Ensure sourcing decisions account for total cost of ownership and supply chain impacts.
- Advise internal stakeholders on procurement best practices and compliance requirements.
- Safeguard Cummins intellectual property in supplier relationships and contracts.

Qualifications
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications or licenses as required for export controls or sanctions compliance (if applicable).
