Ensure Visual Consistency

Through quality control and archive management, you'll maintain a consistent visual style across all product imagery, reinforcing brand identity and professionalism.

Streamline Creative Workflows

Your proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and other editing tools will help speed up production timelines, allowing the team to meet deadlines efficiently with minimal oversight.

Innovate with New Tech

By learning and applying tools like Ortery and Capture One, you'll bring cutting-edge techniques to the team, enhancing image quality and workflow automation.

Support Strategic Content Development

You'll contribute to creative brainstorming and concept development, helping shape the visual direction of campaigns and product launches.

Act as a Technical Resource

Your knowledge of photographic equipment and editing software will make you a go-to person for troubleshooting and guidance, strengthening team capabilities.

Adapt and Execute Independently

As a proactive self-starter, your ability to manage assignments with minimal direction will keep projects moving forward-even in fast-paced or ambiguous situations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Strong Photography Fundamentals

  • Ability to compose, light, and shoot high-quality product images.
  • Familiarity with various photographic equipment and studio setups.

Advanced Photo Editing Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and related software (e.g., Lightroom, Bridge).
  • Understanding of color correction, retouching, and image optimization for web and print.

Quick Learning & Tech Adaptability

  • Willingness to learn and apply new tools like Ortery and Capture One (training provided).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and adapt to evolving tech and software updates.

Self-Management & Initiative

  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive in managing assignments and solving problems without constant supervision.

Creative Collaboration

  • Participate in concept development and contribute ideas to improve visual storytelling.
  • Work closely with the E-Commerce team to align visuals with marketing goals.

Attention to Detail & Quality Control

  • Maintain consistency in image quality, style, and branding.
  • Organize and archive images for easy retrieval and future use.

Content & Web Awareness

  • Basic understanding of how product images impact online shopping experiences.
  • Ability to support content updates and contribute to e-commerce projects.

Curiosity & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay current with trends in photography, editing, and digital content creation.
  • Seek feedback and refine techniques to improve output and efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Spring Semester Photo Editor and Photographer is a dual position that will be responsible for capturing, reviewing, editing, and releasing digital product images to be used for various print and online applications. This position requires the ability to work in an independent, fast-paced environment. The desired candidate will be a proactive self-starter; productive with minimal direction; and is familiar with various photographic equipment and software editing programs. The position will also include supporting the E-Commerce team with content updates, and other projects. Job Responsibilities: • Coordinates photography assignments and captures and edits high quality images • Serves as a principle source of information on photographic equipment and techniques • Maintains quality control throughout production of assigned photography projects • Understands software applications and operation guides (Ortery, Capture One - Training Provided) • Participates in strategic and creative concept development to achieve optimum photos • Keeps abreast of new developments in photographic and editing technology • Maintains photographic archives and documents related images for future searches • Performs other duties as assigned
