  • Leads procurement strategies aimed at minimizing risk, driving innovation, and optimizing business processes
  • Managing the procurement cycle (OPEX, CAPEX; direct, indirect) for the local site for day-to-day business and also future projects
  • Developing, leading, and motivating employees as needed, setting training, development, performance, and career goals, and providing ongoing active feedback.
  • Supporting purchasing management in activities such as supplier performance management
  • Supporting the link between purchasing and the production sites and acting as the interface for manufacturing and suppliers.
  • Establishes and maintains the balance of scope, schedule, and resources for a temporary assignment (projects):
o Facilitates project planning sessions with internal stakeholders to determine the scope and objectives of each project;

o Works with business stakeholders to establish project performance goals;

o Designs project plan, develops timeline, identifies project milestones, and tracks performance against performance goals and timeline.

o Identifies, tracks, and works with others to resolve project issues
  • Analyzing and improving key plant metrics related to procurement, such as downtime due to supplier issues, supplier defects, premium freight, supplier capacity, and new product metrics.
  • Develop and present recommendations on improvement opportunities and alternative courses of action to purchasing/procurement managers.
  • Evaluating the consistent application of procurement procedures and processes.
Qualifikationen

About you:

You will ideally have technical purchasing/procurement experience within an automotive, heavy machinery, power generation, or engineering environment, however, if you enjoy and can evidence a high level of attention to detail, resiliency, and strong communication skills along with an interest in purchasing domain and already had the technical experience in supply chain, supply planning or procurement project management, we'd love to hear from you. Here are some of the other skills and competencies we'd like you to have :
  • College, University, or equivalent degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related subject required.
  • MA and (or) MBA degrees in social discipline is advantageous.
  • Extended professional experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management in the automotive (preferred), heavy machinery or Powergen industry; IATF experience is a plus
  • Strong leadership skills and experience with capabilities to coach and guide the team;
  • Extended interpersonal and communication skills: capabilities to work with local and international stakeholders, maintaining good sustainable relationships.
  • Data-driven mindset: capabilities to work with complex data and manage system changes;
  • Experience in working with ERP Systems to track day-to-day activities; knowledge of Oracle system is a benefit.
  • Fluency in English and German languages;
