DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Production Scheduling Coordinator - Level II to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning for our Cummins Inc. facility in Janesville, WI.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Optimize Production Efficiency You'll create realistic and aligned production schedules that balance customer demand with plant and labor capacity, directly improving on-time delivery and operational flow.
- Enhance Cross-Functional Collaboration By working closely with Material Planners, Operations, Customer Service, and Logistics, you'll ensure alignment across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods—reducing delays and miscommunication.
- Drive Data-Backed Improvements Your collection and analysis of production data (e.g., bottlenecks, Kanban issues, kitting delays) will help identify inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support Quality and Compliance You'll help maintain high product standards by following quality procedures, supporting PFEP data collection, and working with Quality to resolve non-conforming materials quickly.
- Promote Safety and Environmental Responsibility By actively engaging in HSE training and reporting, you'll contribute to a safer, more compliant workplace for everyone.
- Ensure Schedule Integrity Your ownership of the production schedule—including managing emergency changes and understanding risks—will ensure customer needs are met with minimal disruption.
- Champion Team Accountability You'll foster a culture of accountability by tracking and reporting schedule attainment, helping teams stay focused on shared goals.
- Contribute to Strategic Growth By aligning production planning with sales forecasts and new business opportunities, you'll play a key role in scaling operations and supporting long-term business success.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Master the Materials Planning System
Learn to interpret exception messages, perform root cause analysis, and take long-term corrective actions. Use Excel, Access, TOAD, or OMS for deeper
problem-solving when needed.
- Navigate Part Change Control with Precision
Collaborate with Engineering and Procurement to evaluate impacts and execute changes efficiently.
- Apply PFEP Principles Across the Supply Chain
Focus on master data accuracy, material flow design, and coordination with transport and warehouse management.
- Execute Detailed Capacity Planning
Use data to propose solutions like overtime, shift changes, or headcount adjustments to meet ATP (Available-to-Promise) dates.
- Build and Maintain a Master Supply Schedule
Regularly validate and adjust schedules based on demand, capacity, and material availability.
- Manage and Interpret Materials KPIs
Balance trade-offs between KPIs (e.g., inventory vs. service level) to support strategic goals.
- Conduct Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP)
Convert demand forecasts into resource requirements and negotiate adjustments to maintain balance.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience. 1-4 years of relevant work experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Information:
- Create and manage warehouse repack job lists, past due, shortage and priority reports
- Manage repack KPI's on schedule attainment
- Work with planners and schedulers for updates on inventory shortages for orders
- Travel to production plant at Mineral Point, Wisconsin as required to collaborate with planners and schedulers
- Provide back up support for repack scheduler at sister plant warehouse.
- Experience working with Oracle (ERP system) and Excel
Compensation:
