DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Production Lead to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Florence, KY
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Champion Safety Culture You'll actively promote a safe work environment by identifying hazards, enforcing PPE use, and encouraging a culture where team members look out for one another.
- Ensure Product Quality By following standard work and quality procedures, performing inspections, and addressing non-conforming materials, you'll help maintain high product standards and reduce costly defects.
- Drive Operational Efficiency You'll monitor team performance and assign tasks strategically to meet production goals related to volume, cost, waste reduction, and delivery timelines.
- Respond to Issues Proactively As the first responder to equipment faults, part shortages, and quality or safety concerns, you'll play a key role in minimizing downtime and keeping operations running smoothly.
- Facilitate Cross-Team Communication You'll coordinate activities between shifts and departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across the production process.
- Support Workforce Planning By assisting with headcount and overtime planning, you'll help ensure the right resources are in place to meet production demands.
- Develop and Mentor Team Members You'll coach less experienced employees and ensure training is completed and documented, fostering a skilled and confident team.
- Promote Continuous Improvement Through active participation in process enhancements and employee development initiatives, you'll contribute to a culture of innovation and growth.
