Product Safety Customer Solution Engineer
Description
As a Product Safety Customer Solution Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our products for our valued customers. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to communicate product safety features, answer technical questions, and provide process safety information to clients. Your expertise in risk-based process safety, hazard analysis, and functional safety will be essential in driving our commitment to safety excellence.
Your tasks:
- Support CSE/COE projects and deliveries.
- Communicate product safety features in detailed engineering terms to clients.
- Answer detailed technical functional safety questions from clients.
- Generate and provide process safety information to clients.
- Lead or participate in PHA (HAZOP/LOPA) and interface HAZOP with clients.
- Ensure recommendations for customer HAZOP are communicated and closed with platform teams.
- Ensure product safety processes are used in the integration and customization of products.
- Generate reports and customize manuals as necessary to support unique applications.
- Lead incident reviews and product safety hazard analysis when warranted.

Your profile:
- Degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Certification of Competency in IEC 61511 Functional Safety (required)
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role. Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with clients at all levels.
- Knowledge of risk-based process safety, process hazard analysis (HAZOP/LOPA), functional safety, machine safety, and ATEX/explosion prevention/protection
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel up to 40% for customer meetings and job site visits.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
