We are looking for a Product Manager (Mainly Suspension Products) to join our department Product strategy focused mainly on our key accounts in the defense sector for Cummins Saint- Etienne (France)

Job Summary:

Manages key product line lifecycles. Understands and interprets market and industry trends. Leads the marketing initiatives for new product introduction and existing product change introduction.

Qualifications

In this role, you will :

  • Provide strategic direction for current and future product plans, based on CDBS and Industrial business priorities. Interface with target customers to ensure product plan meets or exceeds market expectations and global application requirements.
  • Lead contact for sustaining products/programs and alignment with global Industrial product strategy team. Responsible for coordinating efforts among all internal functional groups to ensure customer commitments are agreed upon internally and then met successfully and equitably.
  • Analyze and break down customer RFQ's to sort out requirements, application information and specifications to tie to specific CDBS product range.Liaison between Sales and Engineering to establish a clear product specification document, obtain product approvals/recommendations/cost estimates as determined by the RFQ requirements. Coordinate with customer support engineering and define priorities for timely completion of application approval requests.Establish pricing recommendation for all products per profitability strategies, ensure pricing strategy and DOA is followed.
  • Value management - constantly measure CDBS value vs. competitive base to assure maximum profitability for CDBS products. The product manager will understand product financial cost build ups to ensure/question accurate margin assessments; develop plans for cost reduction and product improvements.Maintain understanding of market conditions such as commodities trends, market capacity situations, volume trends and future strategic directions.
  • Storytelling - Develops and delivers a compelling narrative which resonates with a target audience and influences a decision or course of action.
  • Business insight - Applying knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals.
  • Customer focus - Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.

Competencies:

  • Education, Licenses, Certifications:
  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales, technical, or a related subject required, Engineering background preferred.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Experience:
  • Significant relevant work experience required, including supervisory experience.
  • Prior experience with global Defense markets and OEM customers prefered.
  • Bilingual in French (preferred) and English (required).

  • Marketing Plan Management - Develops marketing mix recommendations based on the 4 P's (Product, Price, Promotion, and Placement) to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives; guides and influences cross-functional implementation and creates framework to evaluate market responses and business performance.
  • Maximizing Profitability - Develops strategies that demonstrate the use of all marketing and sales levers (e.g. pricing strategies, promotions, volume based incentives, and value, feature, or benefit selling) to optimize profit.
  • Positioning For Target Segments - Aggregates appropriate inputs (e.g. customer perceptions, competitor positioning, alternative product capabilities) and determining where we need or want to compete for business within the target market segment.
  • Product Life Cycle Management - Identifies and executes changes to the product portfolio in response to evolving market dynamics and customer needs
  • Translating Relevant Market Data - Collects and categorizes customer voices and market information by leveraging appropriate research tools and techniques; analyzes research findings to identify opportunities to deliver customer solutions.
