DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Product Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Data Center Projects Department in Sandwich, Kent, United Kingdom
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Drive Product Quality: Lead investigations into product issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions that enhance reliability and performance.
- Enable High-Quality Decisions: Use tools like 7-step problem solving, DRA, and FMEA to support data-driven decision-making across engineering designs and processes.
- Advance Engineering Standards: Execute and refine Engineering Standard Work (ESW) to ensure consistency and excellence in technical deliverables.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with technical managers, project leaders, and suppliers to align on product decisions and ensure stakeholder input is integrated.
- Own Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain critical documentation such as specifications, submittal templates, and manuals that guide internal teams and external partners.
- Capture and Share Knowledge: Learn from experienced engineers and create systems to retain and disseminate technical knowledge across the team.
- Support Lifecycle Engineering: Contribute to Product Preceding Technology (PPT), Value Package Introduction (VPI), and Current Product Support (CPS) initiatives.
- Improve Product Development: Apply systems thinking and statistical methods to model, simulate, and validate product functions, reducing risk and improving outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to apply statistical methods and systems engineering to solve complex technical problems.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication to translate technical data into clear, actionable insights.
- Collaboration & Influence: Comfort working across teams and influencing decisions without direct authority.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in documenting requirements, managing change, and ensuring compliance with standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field (mechanical bias preferred).
- Proficiency in CAD/3D modeling and PLM systems (e.g., Windchill).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and technical writing ability.
- Ability to interpret technical data and convert it into clear requirements.
Desirable Experience:
- Background in power generation or mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with documenting functional, quality, and H&S design requirements.
- Experience in technical document control and configuration management.
