Power Generation Field Service Technician - Level II

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Field Service Technician - Electrical Power Generation in Darwin. This role will see you as part of a team of field-based technicians specialising in repairing and maintaining high horsepower, prime and standby generators.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Working on generator sets and engine control panels, Scheduled and unscheduled service works.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics on engines/generators up to 3350KVA
  • Modifying wiring looms/diagrams
  • Commissioning of new generators/systems, transfer switches and master controllers
  • Working closely with the Mechanical Service team
  • Completing all work with a high focus on safety
  • Participate in an AH on call roster

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Be a trade qualified Grade A Electrician
  • Previous experience in Power Generation products would be highly regarded but is not essential
  • An in depth understanding of control systems (including PLC and relay logic)
  • The ability to interpret electrical schematics
  • Strong PC skills
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
  • A current, valid driver's license
