We are looking for a talented Onsite Service Technician - Field Service to join our Tamworth Team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on critical mining projects
  • First responder to breakdown events
  • Fleet maintenance
  • Fault diagnostics
  • Diverse range of engine repairs, both major and minor
  • Working autonomously as well as having the ability to work in a great team environment
  • Work with other major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr. Etc
  • The face of Cummins at Customer Sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Relevant Heavy Diesel trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Plant Mechanic or Diesel Fitter (to Australian standards)
  • Previous field service experience servicing and maintaining heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM)[LJ4] Cummins Experience preferred but not essential
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a great team environment
  • A genuine commitment to workplace safety
  • A valid driver's license
  • Good interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Apprentice Certified Power Generation or Engine Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Current relevant electrical certification (optional)
  • Locally valid driving permit
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Basic level field service work experience
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation or engine products
  • High Voltage/Low Voltage experience (optional)
  • Customer service experience
