A unique opportunity to join our team as our Mining Business Manager , working in our dynamic mining environment. You will partner with a few key mining customers, your responsibility is to build relationships within that customer base and OEM partners to promote Cummins capability as a reliable and important strategic business partner.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Implementing the Four Pillars of Mining philosophy - engagement with the branch network, technical & global teams, OEM and customer is paramount.
  • Actively build relationships with key personnel who are key influencers in purchase decisions and identify customers perceived needs and priorities.
  • Actively seek out growth opportunities, pit to port and new technology engagement.
  • Lead local Contract negotiation and develop proposals for new business
  • Engagement with local & global account leads.
  • Lead OEM regional and customer meetings.
  • Pricing activities and strategy.
  • Participation in engineering meetings associated with your key customers.
  • Respond and deal with escalations promptly and professionally.
  • Attendance customer site visits and global meetings as required.
  • Engagement and/or leadership in Continuous Improvement opportunities
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
  • Account management and business development experience.
  • Minimum 3-4 years sales experience would be desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communications.
  • Demonstrated initiative and sound judgement, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently to manage work priorities.
  • Exposure to Mining Industry would be advantageous.
