DESCRIPTION
We are looking a talented Manufacturing Operator to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Test Team working in DOT department at Cummins in Daventry, UK.
Working 37.5 hours per week on a weekly rotating shift pattern of:
- Mornings: Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm
- Afternoons: Monday to Thursday 3pm - 11pm, Friday 3pm - 10.30pm.
This role is a temporary contract for up to 24 months with the potential to become permanent dependent based on performance and business needs.
The job involves preparation of production engines for test ranging from 38 to 78ltr. Preparing engines ready for trim when test is complete.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.
- Ensure quality standards meet the requirements of the business.
- Follow stage process documentation and correctly document quality checks.
- Report to supervision any problems within the work stage.
- Liaise with supervision on all aspects affecting the smooth running of the operation.
- To be flexible within Test as appropriate, dependent on volume and priority.
- Complete all daily checks inclusive of 5S, Hymo and Crane.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Previous assembly or factory experience beneficial.
- Mechanical/ Electrical background (fitting components).
- Ability to work under their own initiative within the recognized process.
- Ability to self-manage to achieve production targets.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
The compensation for this role is aligned with a local bargained or unionized agreement.
