We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Components Division in Bloomfield, Connecticut.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Manages the activities for a department including budgeting, resource planning, project management activities, and peer reviews for the purchase, and implementation of manufacturing integrated equipment, systems, and processes. Manages, coaches, and develops direct and indirect team members. Leads the process of working with outside suppliers.
  • Manages personnel in the Manufacturing Engineering Function related to departmental activities and performance standards.
  • Leads the development of departmental plans and deliverables.
  • Provides technical consultation, leadership, and advice to managers, manufacturing personnel and other functions.
  • Coaches and motivates direct and indirect team members, delegates work assignments, and leads change.
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives including capital, daily operations, and organization structure.
  • Provides technical inputs and direction for Manufacturing.
  • Leads the communications with all stakeholders.

  • Manufacturing Business Model Application - Demonstrates capability in organizing and improving the steps of how workflow should occur by using the current documented Cummins processes and key practices used to drive improvements within the business to show a common framework for manufacturing functional excellence within the company.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
  • A STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related bachelor's degree or higher, required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Additional Information
  • Significant level of relevant work experience, including supervisory and leadership experience, required.
  • Drive problem solving in VST/ correct M.E. mindset.
  • Knowledge and experience with metal cutting processes.
  • Manage Maintenance department and drive process improvements correct PM/spare parts MTTR/MTTF.
  • Help support new growth, set up processes. This position will be 50% leader, 50% hands on and owning capital projects as well as supporting New Product Development in VPI hand offs.
  • This position is required to be on-site.
Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience, range: $114,000-171,000.00. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
