DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer - Senior to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Oshkosh, WI location.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

- Optimize Manufacturing Through Design Integration Your ability to interpret and integrate product and equipment drawings will ensure that manufacturing processes align with design intent and quality standards.
- Drive Data-Informed Process Improvements Using digital tools and simulations, you'll analyze manufacturing performance and implement changes that reduce waste, improve quality, and enhance efficiency.
- Lead Equipment and Tooling Strategy You'll select and implement the right equipment, tools, and fixtures to support safe, ergonomic, and cost-effective manufacturing operations.
- Standardize and Document Best Practices By developing clear, standardized process documentation, you'll ensure consistency, reduce variability, and support training and compliance efforts.
- Mentor and Solve with Impact You'll lead structured problem-solving efforts, mentor others in root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions that protect both the customer and the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Strong Project Leadership Lead manufacturing projects from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and business objectives.
- Deep Manufacturing Knowledge Apply advanced manufacturing principles and best practices to improve processes, equipment, and overall operational efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI tools to identify opportunities, reduce waste, and standardize processes in line with Cummins standards.
- Effective Stakeholder Communication Communicate clearly and persuasively with internal teams, business leaders, and external partners to align goals and drive results.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Work seamlessly with internal and external resources, leveraging diverse expertise to deliver high-impact project outcomes.
- Coaching and Influence Build strong relationships and coach stakeholders on manufacturing standards and methods, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Strategic Decision-Making Use data-driven insights and simulations to make informed decisions that balance safety, cost, quality, and delivery.
- Standardization and Method Development Lead the creation and implementation of manufacturing standards and work methods that ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Assist in the development of fixtures, tooling, and packaging.
- Support Operations by developing work instructions
- Troubleshoot issues on the shop floor when called upon.
- Focus on Safety, Quality, Cost, and Productivity in day-to-day activities.
- Work with outside contractors to purchase equipment.
