DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented IT Support Associate - Level IV to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Cummins Inc. facility in Maxton, NC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Resolving IT issues with independence and precision Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and solving hardware and software problems autonomously while ensuring timely, customer-focused resolutions.
  • Managing and improving process documentation Maintaining clear, current IT standards and procedures that promote consistency, quality, and knowledge sharing across support operations.
  • Identifying trends and optimizing systems Analyzing support data to detect recurring issues, reduce inefficiencies, and implement proactive solutions that keep systems running smoothly.
  • Coaching and developing others Guiding less experienced IT associates and contract staff, fostering technical growth and strengthening your team's overall capability.
  • Following through with effective communication Circling back with end users to confirm issue resolution, building trust through responsiveness and a commitment to excellent service.
  • Driving continuous improvement Championing Six Sigma principles to improve workflows, cut costs, and deliver high-value outcomes aligned with departmental goals.
  • Collaborating across teams and roles Working closely with peers, customers, and stakeholders to coordinate efforts, align on needs, and ensure seamless delivery of IT services.
  • Supporting IT operations broadly Tackling additional IT responsibilities, from system configuration to change management requests—making yourself an essential resource in dynamic, high-demand environments.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience (to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations) required. Associate Degree, relevant industry training, certification or equivalent experience preferred.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving issues with the Windows operating system in a corporate environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude with experience supporting computer hardware, software, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve network, connectivity, and user account issues, including Active Directory administration.
  • Competent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with technical and non-technical users.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and documenting support activities per service level agreements.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices and ability to follow established procedures for system updates, patches, and backups.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
