DESCRIPTION
The GL & FA (General Ledger and Fixed Assets) Manager is responsible for performing general accounting activities to maintain the organization's general ledger and fixed assets accounting. The role entails financial analysis of the chart of accounts and financial statements, identifying and investigating variances, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting principles. This position serves as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, record, and report accounting transactions accurately and timely.
- Prepare general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
- Perform financial analysis to identify variances, trends, and risks and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external auditors, Sarbanes-Oxley audit group, and management on financial results and special reports.
- Maintain and protect confidentiality of financial information.
- Ensure transactions are in compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
- Support compliance with internal controls and financial regulations, developing remediation plans when necessary.
- Evaluate and implement updates to fixed asset accounting and reporting processes as needed.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

- Lead monthly and year-end closing activities for GL and Fixed Assets modules.
- Coordinate audits and support audit readiness by preparing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
- Implement improvements in the accounting process through automation and standardization.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
Experience Required:
- Minimal relevant professional work experience of 6-8 years required
- Familiarity with US GAAP and internal financial controls is essential.
