This is an exciting opportunity to join Accelera by Cummins eMobility team at the start of projects which will serve as basis for the new family of traction systems. Working in the eMobility team will expose you to all areas of electric vehicles. The tasks involve all stages of the safety lifecycle of the development across system, component and discipline level. Accelera by Cummins is looking for an ambitious and motivated Functional Safety Engineer to join our team in Nürnberg. Being self-motivated, possessing the ability to challenge norms, having a good system understanding and knowledge of Functional Safety will be essential attributes for the successful candidate.

Your tasks will include:
- Define and engineer safety requirements on System, Component and Discipline level. Work together with our FSM on Platform development as well as Customer projects.
- Support and consult the project teams in all question regarding the ISO26262.
- Create and support the creation of ISO26262 work products along the safety plan.
- Problem-solving, analytical thinking, communication and presentation skills, collaboration, adaptability and flexibility, and continuous learning.
Your profile:
- You have a degree in an engineering field.
- Experience with Automotive Software Safety Critical projects as a Functional Safety Engineer.
- Good understanding and knowledge about ISO26262 (all parts)
- Experience with Requirements analysis and creation of Safety Architecture
- Your English skills are business fluent, both written and spoken
