Fly-in Fly-out Diesel engine technician
Description
We are looking for a talented Diesel engine technician (Fly-in Fly out) to join our Distribution business in Val D'Or.
Must meet the rules and commitments of the FIFO program. We are looking for an on-site technician able to perform engine repairs and commit to performing other repairs to customer equipment (bumper to bumper) with great organizational and leadership skills. This candidate will be able to work with little to no supervision on our mining site.
Housing is provided by the compagnie, tools and truck provided as well. Meal allowance provided.
Working schedule: 14 days ON and 14 days OFF. Salary up to 55$ hourly.

Must be fluent in French.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Completes preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on Cummins products at a single customer site with minimal direction.
- Engages with customer in a courteous and professional manner. Ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
- Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
- Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced On Site Technicians and/or Supervisor.
- Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on Cummins products at a customer's location.
- Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
- Completes training in line with skill and business requirements.
- Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
- Engine Technician or Power Generation certification
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Current relevant electrical certification (optional)
- Locally valid driving permit.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Intermediate level of workshop related experience required.
- Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with Cummins products
- High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience (optional)
- Completes complex internal engine repairs
- Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision
- Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
- Larger more complicated engine rebuilds
- Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation
