DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Field Service Engineering Specialist Electrolyzer to join our Electrolyzer Customer Service Department in Oevel, Belgium
Requirement for this role: Willingness to travel up to 50% - 70% of the time.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Problem-Solving Expertise: By leading investigations into product or system issues, you'll identify root causes and recommend effective solutions, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
- Failure Analysis Support: Your involvement in the failure analysis process will help address common failure modes, improving product reliability and performance.
- Knowledge Sharing: By documenting diagnostic and repair actions and sharing knowledge through systems like KMS and QSOL, you'll enhance the team's collective expertise and efficiency.
- Onsite Technical Support: Providing expert technical support onsite when needed will ensure timely and effective resolution of complex issues, minimizing downtime for customers.
- Policy and Decision Input: Your technical insights will contribute to policy discussions and decisions, shaping the direction of service strategies and practices.
- Effective Communication: Keeping territories well-informed and participating in regular meetings will foster collaboration and ensure alignment across teams, functions, and customer groups.
- Emerging Issue Resolution: Investigating and delivering solutions for emerging product or process issues will help maintain product quality and customer trust.
- Mentorship and Guidance: By guiding less experienced technicians, you'll enhance their skills and troubleshooting capabilities, leading to more efficient customer support and service delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems, especially related to repairs and maintenance at Electrolyzer units, will be essential for diagnosing and resolving issues effectively.
- Customer Support Skills: Experience in providing remote technical assistance and performing on-site maintenance and repairs will enable you to support customers efficiently and ensure their satisfaction.
- Diagnostic and Troubleshooting Abilities: The ability to translate customer complaints into actionable troubleshooting plans, use specialized tools and software for diagnostics, and validate repairs will be crucial for successful issue resolution.
- Effective Communication and Documentation: Strong skills in creating and verifying technical information, capturing data accurately, and documenting all service activities will ensure clear communication and a reliable record of work done.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in preferably Eelectrical Engineering, or related field is highly preferred or relevant experience equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a technical role is preferred.
- Good Communication Skills in English, Dutch or any other language is an extra benefit.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
