Facilities Technician

We are looking for a talented Facilities Technician to join our team specializing in the Facilities Department in Oevel, Belgium

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Ensure operational continuity by performing both preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and installations.
  • Act swiftly and effectively in addressing urgent malfunctions, minimizing downtime and production delays.
  • Contribute to safety by acting adequately in situations involving specific safety risks.
  • Support compliance by assisting with inspections and technical audits.
  • Drive improvements by analyzing recurring issues and proposing technical enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues as a true bridge-builder and team player.
  • Enhance system reliability through hands-on involvement in mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related maintenance.
  • Strengthen communication by working fluently in both Dutch and English, ensuring clear coordination across teams.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

  • A2 diploma in electricity or electromechanics, or equivalent experience in electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
  • VCA permit and Forklift permit are desired but we can provide the support and trainings but will have to be completed.
  • Position will sometimes require working at height.
  • Familiarity with PLC control principles (operation-level understanding; programming not required).
  • Open to recent graduates with maturity and eagerness to learn.
