DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Fort McMurray (AB).
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
- Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs
- Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools
- Coaches on preventative maintenance activities and basic repairs completed by customer employees
- Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced On-Site Technicians and/or Supervisor
- Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
- Completes training in line with skill and business requirements Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Red seal certification- OFF road is mandatory for these roles.
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driver's abstract

Experience:
- Basic level field service work experience
- Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
- High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience (optional)
- Customer service experience
(Intermediate):
- Completes complex internal engine repairs
- Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision
About the role :
- Position is based out of Fort McMurray.
- Shift cycle is 14x14 days and nights, 12 hour shifts (shift cycle can change at any time based on business needs).
- No travel or housing offered but Cummins pays a monthly living allowance (1000$).
- Work will be predominantly supporting the truck fleet (EX: 980's and 930's).
- Position is safety sensitive.
- Random alcohol and drug testing to be expected on work site.
- Cummins offers a 5000$ sign on bonus for these roles.

QUALIFICATIONS
• A copy of your red seal certification or trade's diploma is required for this position.
• A copy of a 5 years driver's abstract is required for this position.
