Electrical Qualification Agent

3 weeks ago• Glen Burnie, MD

DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Cummins Inc., a global leader in power solutions, is seeking a licensed and experienced Master Electrician to serve as an Electrical Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector . In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safety, compliance, and quality of electrical installations across a variety of commercial and industrial environments—including generator systems, EV chargers, marine power, fuel cells, and loadbank testing.

Your day-to-day will involve reviewing electrical plans, pulling permits, conducting field inspections, and collaborating with project managers, technicians, and local officials to ensure all work meets NEC, NFPA 70e, and state-specific codes. A strong understanding of ATS switchgear and hands-on experience working with generators in the field is essential. This role requires excellent communication skills, as you'll regularly engage with stakeholders at all levels, from field crews to permitting authorities. Candidates with commercial and industrial experience will be prioritized over those with primarily residential backgrounds. You'll have the flexibility to use a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement or a rental vehicle for travel, which is expected to be frequent. While personal tools are not required, you're welcome to use them if preferred. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in the field, values safety and precision, and is passionate about driving quality in every aspect of electrical work. Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and DC will be your coverage area for this role.
