Branch Manager - Segment or Small Geography

We are looking for a talented Branch General Manager to join our Parts and Service operations at our Québec City, QC branch.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Branch Management : Oversees the branch through department managers, ensuring effective coordination and optimal performance.
  • Financial Responsibility : Manages all financial functions and indicators of the branch, ensuring financial health and profitability.
  • Operational Planning : Develops the annual operational plan with the support of business development leads and department managers; manages the business in alignment with this plan and monitors key strategic indicators.
  • Market Analysis : Conducts market analysis to identify opportunities and challenges for the business.
  • Business Growth : Manages the annual commercial and marketing plan, builds and maintains strong customer relationships, and develops new partnerships and alliances.
  • Customer Satisfaction : Monitors customer satisfaction using Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Lens of the Customer metrics; fosters a customer service culture and recruits, trains, motivates, and retains customer service staff.
  • Warranty Management : Oversees warranty claims and denials, understands recurring warranty issues, and provides feedback to improve products and services; monitors repair cycle times and implements improvements.
  • Compliance and Accountability : Ensures product compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards; oversees audits in these areas and promotes a culture of corporate responsibility.

Qualifications

Additional Responsibilities Unique to This Role

  • As the branch is an authorized agent for conducting SAAQ mechanical inspections for both heavy and light vehicles, it must ensure contractual compliance with provincial authorities.
  • The candidate must be able to navigate effectively in a unionized environment and participate in collective agreement negotiations during renewal periods.

Required Skills, Education, or Experience

  • Must be able to communicate fluently in both French and English , in writing and orally, with French being the official language of the role .
  • Strong knowledge of the industry in which we operate (e.g., on-road market —trucks, buses, etc.— industrial mobile equipment , generators , etc.).
  • Solid experience in operations management (parts and service) at a senior leadership level, with a minimum of 8 years of experience .
  • Strong customer orientation , close collaboration with internal sales segments, and active involvement in the industry to support business growth.

Preferred but Not Required Skills, Education, or Experience

  • Six Sigma certification is not required, but recognized experience or skills in problem-solving are highly valued.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our Company Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
