Description

We are looking for a talented Application Engineer (f/m/d) Systems / Software for Commercial Vehicles to join our team in Nürnberg.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Working closely with the customer, the responsible project management as well as the system architects to identify customer requirements on vehicle level.
  • Tracking new feature development against schedule and requirements fulfillment.
  • Based on the existing system configuration and architecture, specifying and executing vehicle-level test cases.
  • Analyzing system behavior and verify expected system responses.
  • Modifying component parameters and optimizing drive system parameters on the customer vehicle, according to customer requirements, while considering prevailing norms.
  • Creating and managing customer-specific software packages, generating test protocols and reports.
  • In case of deviations, defining them and monitoring the processing with the development team and attending the acceptance on the vehicle in compliance with the applicable processes.
Configuring the test tools according to the test strategy.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
  • You have a degree in electrical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics or a comparable qualification.
  • You have already acquired relevant professional experience and expertise in the field of "application engineering" or software testing.
  • In addition, you have an understanding of the architecture of electronic vehicles.
  • Ideally, you have basic knowledge of drive and control technology.
  • You are familiar with CANape and CANalyzer or similar tools for application and vehicle diagnostics.
  • On top of that, you possess great communication skills, are solution orientated and are a team player.
  • You are able to work in a team and are willing to travel occasionally.
  • Basic knowledge of UDS, J1939, ISO26262 and ISO21434 is desirable.
  • You already have some experience with Polarion, Enterprise Architect and Matlab/Simulink.
  • Fluent German and English complete your profile.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related subject is desired.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
