DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Accounting Manager to join our team for our Accelera by Cummins division in Mississauga, Ont.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead and mentor a team of accountants, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording, analysis, and reporting of financial transactions.
- Review and validate general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Address inquiries from management, auditors, and regulatory bodies with precise financial insights.
- Regularly assess and enhance internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures.
- Apply new accounting standards effectively and ensure compliance.
- Train and support new and existing staff, promoting continuous learning and development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Education, Licenses, Certifications: College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification required. Experience: Significant experience required, including supervisory experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Responsibilities:
- Manage cash flow and oversee cash management activities.
- Review and ensure accuracy of tax filings.
- Collaborate closely with KPMG on tax returns and tax provisions.
Qualifications:
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and/or CGA (Certified General Accountant) preferred.
