Senior Manager, Behring Communications
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Head, Behring Communications, as the Senior Manager, Behring Communications, you will be accountable for the strategic planning and execution of external communications, issues & crisis management and other functional communications that support CSL Behring (CSLB) business objectives. You will be in an agile role, which will support the Head of Behring Communications on a variety of global projects, including leadership communications and digital content strategy. You will also serve as the primary communications lead for the U.S. Specialty Therapeutic Area, which includes our Hereditary Angioedema portfolio, the New Products portfolio and the U.S. Plasma business. You will operate in a highly matrixed and agile environment, and you will require strategic foresight, adaptability, and strong cross-functional collaboration within the Corporate & External Affairs (CEA) organization. You will serve as both strategist and executor by developing clear, measurable communications strategies, work with a matrix team for planning and execution. You will develop and deliver "earned" media and thought leadership placements globally, and you will contribute regularly to CSL's "owned" multimedia publishing channels (i.e., Vita news hub, CSL NOW employee news) to engage both internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborates closely with senior communications leaders across CSL Behring and CEA Centers of Excellence to ensure alignment and integration across the global CEA function.

The Role:
- Supports leadership and employee communications across Behring LT, in partnership with Head of Behring Communications.
- Drives strategic alignment and cadence of digital communications for both external and internal stakeholders.
- Leads the execution of communications programs supporting our Specialty Therapeutic Area medicines and new products from the pipeline, partnering closely with the Director, U.S. Behring Communications.
- Leads external communications needs for the U.S. Plasma business, including media relations and issues management, partnering closely with the Director, Behring Communications.
- Develop and implement high-impact, fully integrated communications strategies that drive business outcomes and enhance CSL Behring's reputation.
- Ensure all communications align with CSL Behring and CSL group brand messaging and reflect global brand positioning.
- Own and evolve the strategic narrative and messaging for the Specialty Therapeutics Area, New Products portfolios and U.S. Plasma business.
- Manages third-party communications agencies in support of Specialty Therapeutic Area and New Products.
- Lead or contribute to the management of key issues that may impact CSL's reputation or operations, in close collaboration with CSL Behring and CEA teams.
- Optimize exiting resources and leverage CEA Centers of Excellence to support external communications and business objectives.
- Work seamlessly with the broader CEA organization to deliver a unified "One CEA" voice across all planning and initiatives.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and operate effectively within a highly matrixed global organization.

Your Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or closely related field; MBA or Master's in Communications a plus.
- 7+ years' communications experience including communications program/people management, in product or corporate communications/ public relations.
- 5+ years' experience managing media preferred.
- Pharma/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience desirable.
- Advanced, progressive professional development training is ideal. Applied Science communications experience of 10+ years is highly desirable.
- 3+ years digital communications experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully working in a highly matrixed organization is a plus.
Travel Requirements:
Domestic and International travel may be required from time to time.
