The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Regional Medical Affairs Head South LATAM, as the Medical Manager, Chile for CSL Vifor, you will be a member of the country cross-functional team, supporting the development of the regional Medical strategy via therapeutic area clinical knowledge and insight from HCP and business interactions and you will contribute to the development of the Country Medical plan. You will be responsible for compliant implementation of assigned deliverables as defined in the country medical operational plan, and you will closely collaborate with colleagues in the development and implementation of the country strategy. You will establish effective clinical engagement with external medical experts, medical / scientific associations and other external stakeholders (e.g., patient advocacy groups). You will be compliant with execution of data generation activities as well as management of research grants (incl. investigator-initiated studies). You will be responsible for management of projects budget and the medical accuracy of country promotional and medical materials.

The Role:
  • Develop and maintain up to date scientific and medical knowledge and expertise (TA and products).
  • Built trust and good collaboration with local teams.
  • Bring therapeutic area knowledge and medical insights to country cross-functional team to guide operational planning.
  • Support Regional Medical Director with medical knowledge and expertise for focus TAs .
  • Ensure close and regular collaboration with product managers and market access to support implementation of regional brand plans.
  • Implement assigned deliverables of annual country Medical plan.
  • Plan and track budget for assigned deliverables.
  • Identify, develop and maintain effective engagement with external medical experts.
  • Support execution of country data generation activities.
  • Manage research grants (incl. investigator-initiated studies).
  • Implement assigned deliverables of medical communication plan, e.g. disease awareness, medical education, and country congress activities.
  • Implement assigned deliverables of country publication plans, including regional congresses and manuscripts.
  • Deliver Medical TA and product training to local teams.
  • Review and approval of final response to Medical enquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local and global laws, regulations, guidelines and company policies and procedures in all activities.
  • Review of country materials.

Your Skills and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:
  • University degree in Medical or Life Science Field (e.g. Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology/ Biochemistry, Biotechnology).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with pharma industry in Medical Affairs (e.g. medical information or field medical role) and/ or Clinical.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and good oral and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Medical Education (MD) or Pharmacy Degree (PharmD), PhD in Life Science Field (e.g. Biology/ Biochemistry, biotechnology).
  • Medical specialization and/ or clinical/ research experience in Internal Medicine, Nephrology or Cardiology or OBGYN.
  • 4 years' experience with pharma industry in Medical Affairs and/or Clinical Development, at affiliate level and/or regional or global headquarters.
  • Publication track record.
