Assistant Compliance Manager

Jersey

9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Intertrust's Compliance team oversees Jersey's obligations to comply with regulatory and Group requirements. The Assistant Manager role will provide support to the team, both for business as usual activities and specific projects. The role covers all aspects of compliance from support for compliance monitoring activity, functional reporting obligations as well as tasks relating to financial crime compliance including anti-money laundering. The role will primarily support the management of the Compliance Monitoring Program (CMP); Incident Management reporting, the maintenance of registers; collation and analysis of information for compliance reports; and any other duties that will assist the running and objectives of the wider compliance team as required.

Some of the things you will be doing:
  • Contribute to the reporting of management information and the submission to relevant internal and external stakeholders, including the service line boards of directors and Group Compliance; and respond promptly to requests for information from the regulator or law enforcement agencies
  • To assist in the scoping, testing and delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Programme and advising the business on the management of risks
  • Supporting the collation, analysis and reporting of data required for various regulatory reports, including for supervisory risk-based data collection
  • Assistance in overseeing the effectiveness of all AML/CFT systems, compliance with applicable AML/CFT legislation and the day-to-day operation of the AML/CFT policies and procedures. In addition, the role will be required to develop and maintain systems and controls (including documented policies and procedures) in line with evolving requirements
  • Assist with the maintenance of various registers and monitor trends, including breaches, errors and declined business
  • Support the wider team with visits by third party stakeholders including assisting with regulatory examinations
  • Promote common compliance standards across Intertrust Jersey and service lines
  • Provide innovative ideas on how to improve the efficiencies of daily tasks
  • Deliver departmental projects to quality standards, deadlines and costs

  • Effective communicator
  • Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.
  • Ability to formulate, consider and select the most appropriate solutions
  • Able to use own initiative and be open minded
  • Experience working within a compliance function
