About the Role:
Our Fusion and Foundry product teams are seeking a backend software Engineer to build out platform products which provide core orchestration and workflow capabilities to all users of Crowdstrike's Flagship offering, the Falcon Platform.
Fusion - a core 'tier one' offering in our Flagship Platform, Falcon - is used by customers to automate 80% of breach remediation actions with the Falcon Platform. It also serves as the runtime engine of Foundry, our Security Application Store for Falcon users. These two products are among our most heavily used by customers.
This role is for an experienced backend microservices developer adept with cloud engineering principles. Your passion and meticulous attention to performance, reliability and scalability will be key ingredients to your success here at CrowdStrike.
What You'll Do:
- B uild highly fault tolerant Golang microservices to add features and functionality to our Fusion product and its supporting ecosystem
- Support ultra-high volume Kafka event pipelines managing our customer workflows
- Work with industry-leading technologies like Apache Kafka, Cassandra, Opensearch, Redis and more
- Work on cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects
- Troubleshoot critical production issues and implement solutions
- Experienced building streaming platforms at scale (Note: We process over a trillion events per day)
- MS in related field OR 2+ years of recent experience building an event-driven, microservices-oriented architecture
- Intermediate strength in any of the following backend languages: Go, Java, Python or C#
- Experience in building distributed systems, micro services, REST APIs (bonus for GRPC)
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
- Developing applications using SQL and No-SQL databases
- Production experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Contributed to the open source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging)
- Master's degree in computer science or related field
- Golang experience
- Prior experience with cybersecurity
