About the Role:
The CrowdStrike DRIVE (Data, Reporting, Intelligence, Visualization, Engineering) centralized analytics team is seeking a talented and highly motivated Senior Data Engineer III who will power internal data products for executives by building reliable datasets. The ideal candidate is a highly-technical individual contributor who enjoys the challenge of connecting data across multiple domains and architecting scalable solutions to drive insights at the highest level of the company.
What You'll Do:
- Design and build performant, scalable data models and SQL-based pipelines that power executive reporting solutions.
- Develop modular, maintainable, and well-documented DBT models to standardize business logic and ensure consistency across data products.
- Optimize large datasets in Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouse) with a focus on query performance, resource efficiency, and ease of use for downstream consumers.
- Implement automated processes for data validation, ensuring high standards of data quality, accuracy, and integrity across all pipelines.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and data analysts to deeply understand reporting needs and translate them into clean, reliable, and intuitive datasets.
- Partner closely with business teams to understand key metrics and definitions, then implement them in SQL and dbt for consistent usage across reporting layers.
- Act as a translator between business goals and technical implementation, converting high-level requirements into performant queries and scalable data assets.
- Continuously monitor and fine-tune data workflows, SQL queries, and cloud resources to improve data processing performance, reduce latency, and optimize costs.
