Job Summary

National Pipe & Plastics is seeking an individual to facilitate the job related training program in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for creating training materials for all new hires and annual training requirements. This position will collaborate with all departments and solicit feedback from operators and subject matter experts to develop the training program. The Training Specialist must have a Safety-First Mindset.

Job Responsibilities

  • Acclimate new hires to the business and conduct new hire production orientation sessions.
  • Develop and implement engaging training programs and workshops related to job specific duties.
  • Design instructional materials, manuals, and job aids to support learning initiatives.
  • Coordinates training schedules, logistics, and materials for training sessions.
  • Provide coaching and support to employees to enhance learning retention and application.
  • Develops and maintains organizational communications such as intranet bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
  • Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes and modifies programs as needed.
  • Complete 30, 60, and 90-day job related knowledge check-ins with new hires.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using feedback and assessments.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to ensure training aligns with business objectives.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in training and development.
  • Maintain records of training activities, certifications, and participation for compliance and reporting.
  • Recommend improvements to training processes based on feedback and data analysis.
  • Backup for safety training for both new hire, monthly and annual training.


Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent in HR, Education, Business or a related field.
  • Experience developing training programs and SOPs in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development based on business needs.
  • Knowledge of safety standards.


Compensation

  • The hourly pay rate is $25-$30/hr.
