About the Role
As a Security Operations Analyst , you will play a key part in managing security operations, handling incidents, and continuously improving our security posture . You'll be the go-to expert for security risk assessment, monitoring, compliance, and performance reporting - ensuring our IT systems and business operations remain secure, compliant, and efficient .

You'll work closely with IT and CRH Group Security functions, influencing risk management strategy, maintaining key SOx controls, and contributing to external accreditations such as ISO27001 . This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and a proactive approach to incident management.
What you'll be doing
In this role you'll:
- Lead and manage day-to-day security operations and incident response
- Provide expert security guidance throughout IT project lifecycles
- Promote a culture of security awareness across the business
- Carry out regular risk assessments and security drills
- Create and maintain security policies, procedures and frameworks
- Own and report on security performance and metrics to senior stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with audits, regulations, and internal cntrols
- Monitor security policy adherence across staff and third parties
- Contribute to tool evaluation, assessments, and control frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO27001)
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about IT security and up to date with industry trends
- An effective communicator, capable of translating technical detail to non-technical audiences
- Creative, analytical, and thrives on problem-solving
- A team player who can lead by example and support others
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a similar role
- Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CISA etc.)
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and ISO27001 standards
- ITIL certified/trained and GDPR aware
You'll also have experience in:
- Security operations and incident response
- System audits, compliance, and risk assessment
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
