Job Summary

The Plant Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a plant. The Plant Supervisor will also need to develop and maintain teamwork within the facility to ensure a productive outcome.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise, evaluate, coach, and motivate personnel supervised
  • Manage the workforce assigned to the plant daily
  • Direct work at plant locations and job sites
  • Maintain quality assurance of the plant as required
  • Perform routine plant maintenance
  • Control expenditures and maximize profits for the plant, region, and company
  • Control and maintain inventory levels
  • Routinely inspect vehicles, equipment, reports, and repairs needed
  • Assist with accident and environmental investigation/compliance
  • Complete all the paperwork and reports required by the company in a timely manner
  • Issue discipline at the direction of the Louisburg L& G Site Manager
  • Review timecards and monitor attendance
  • Other duties may be assigned.


Job Requirements:

  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 65 lbs., extended standing, walking, sitting, bending, climbing, working inside and outside, and use of fall protection equipment
  • Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions
  • Able to sit for extended periods, climb up & down from cab heights, and work effectively in extreme outdoor climate(s) - cold, heat, rain, fog
  • Experience in wood/pulp/mulch manufacturing preferred
  • Experience with heavy equipment and machinery
