CRH are currently hiring for a Microsoft 365 Platform Manager to join the Central Technical Services team. This role will be responsible for overseeing th e planning, implementation and optimisation of Microsoft 365 services across the organisation. The successful candidate will develop a long-term roadmap for Microsoft 365 aligning with organisational goals and ensuring its evolution meets hanging business requirements. They will also be responsible for e nhancing collaboration, productivity and security at a global level by effectively managing Microsoft 365 tools and service delivery. This role will also facilitate communication at a global level, support the creation of a seamless digital workplace by leveraging Microsoft 365 tools, along with d efining policies, access controls and security measures to ensure M365 services are used securely, address compliance requirements and protect sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and enforce governance policies, ensuring consistent usage, compliance and security across Microsoft 365 applications
  • Lead the deployment of Microsoft 365 services.
  • Continuously assess and enhance M365 services, addressing performance issues, scalability and user experience. Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices whilst providing subject matter expertise in relevant domains.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance central technology services and process optimisation whilst working across various teams to improve service performance
  • Collaborate with the Group Information Security team to implement security controls, data protection and compliance measures within M365
  • Oversee and align activities across the Microsoft suite including Exchange, OneDrive, Telephony, Backup, Rubrik and other platforms.
  • Work with the Governance & Adoption Lead to drive adoption of M365 tools across the organisation, monitor usage analytics and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with business units to integrate M365 into existing workflows and identify opportunities for process optimisation
  • Collaborate with training teams to provide training, documentation and support to end-users promoting efficient and effective utilisation of M365 tools
  • Interact with Microsoft and other vendors to stay informed on updates, licensing, new features etc
  • Integrate M365 with other systems, customise workflows and develop solutions using Power Platform, SharePoint and other tools.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices whilst providing subject matter expertise in relevant domains. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose solutions
  • Oversee and mange a team, ensure collaboration and maximise effectiveness between the Central Technology Services team and regional / divisional IT teams


Individual Competencies:
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, licensing and best practises
  • Ability to influence and guide people through transitions, along with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of Azure AD, SharePoint, Teams and related technologies
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders and ability to navigate relationships across departments / business units


Key Skills & Experience:
  • Demonstrable experience (8+ years) of leading a platform management team including the running of BAU protocols & procedures, with experience of leading technology platform projects, management of timelines, risks etc.
  • Relevant 3rd level qualification, preferably at Masters level or alternatively have significant experiential knowledge to offset formal qualification.
