Position Overview/Impact

The Hired Hauler Trucker Compliance Administrator maintains accurate vehicle registrations, permits, insurance, and safety records verifying compliance with company and state regulations for hauler vendors and their fleets. Additional responsibilities include providing help in processing hauler payments and other administrative duties as part of the transportation team, organizing information for daily operations.

Core Responsibilities
  • Strictly adheres to and promotes environmental, health, safety and training policies, procedures and requirements as outlined in company policies.
  • Displays a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
  • Processes yearly hauler agreements.
  • Assists in the setup and maintenance of new and existing haulers including registrations, insurance, EFT setups, and other processes involved in hauler compliance.
  • Processes weekly reports to ensure haulers are in compliance with insurance requirements.
  • Processes weekly hauler revenue reports for haulers.
  • Participates in planning and execution of yearly safety events for haulers.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
  • Assists other departments as requested or assigned.


Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Required Experience/Education/Skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent, plus at least 6 months' experience in clerical work.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the preferred knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Must display strong attention to detail, organizational skills and produce work of a high standard.
  • Provide excellent customer service by phone; scheduling and organizing large numbers of people and equipment efficiently and quickly.
  • Must be computer literate with basic proficiency of Microsoft Office.
  • Handle multiple tasks concurrently and perform under pressure.
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and files.
  • Must be able to gain a general understanding of all departments in Tilcon New York Inc. facilities.
  • Work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors/managers with other duties as required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with and work professionally with other personnel, conveying and exchanging ideas, and giving and receiving detailed verbal instructions.
  • Ability to deal effectively with questions or problems, seeking assistance when needed.
  • Should be assertive and self-motivated.
  • Working knowledge of English and Math, office practices and procedures.
  • Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, and overtime as required (5-10 hours of OT expected in busy season).


Preferred Experience/Education/Skills
  • Associate or bachelor's degree.
  • Previous related experience in dispatch for concrete or transportation industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of Transportation Flow, accounting and finance administration.
  • Knowledge of Viewpoint/Command.
  • Knowledge of Certificates of Insurance
