Job Summary
Using your background in GAAP, AP, and AR, you will support the Controller to establish credit and work with customers on collection payments. You will be responsible for reviewing customer terms and compliance; responsible for credit hold/release; assist the Controller with management/investigation of credit risks, approve' s new lines of credit and/or the extension of credit and limits.

- This is an onsite role based in Acheson, AB
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain & reconcile customer accounts; apply payments, resolve payment issues
- Develop & maintain strong working relationships with customers & staff
- Compile reports including payment history report and A/R aged report and communicate information to all parties affected or requesting the information
- Maintenance of A/R accounts, including collection of over-due accounts and 3rd party collection arrangements
- Perform credit checks & reports for new potential customers; forward for approval and set up in customer workflow
- Send monthly statements to customers, respond to customer requests via email or phone
Job Requirements
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and SOX
- Canadian sales taxes as it relates to Accounts Receivable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (customer service)
- Accounting Diploma or equivalent work experience with progressive responsibility
- 2+ years' work experience in an accounting position
- 2+ years' experience in collections
- Well organized and efficient
- Attention to detail and results oriented
- Ability to problem solve and identify solutions
